Diversity Facilitators at Brown

(What do the Diversity Facilitators do? Why might a member of the Brown community reach out to the Diversity Facilitators? What is the best way to contact the Diversity Facilitators?)

(this might be a good place to put your office hours too)

(feel free to replace the text below):

In response to recent events surrounding police brutality and anti-Black violence, we have collaborated with DFs around Rice to write a comprehensive doc of resources so that you may engage in allyship against anti-Blackness.

This doc includes everything from where to donate and sign petitions, how to protest, how to continue educating yourself on being a stronger ally, and more. In addition, the doc also includes mental health resources for Black students.

As you are reading through these resources, please consider how anti-Blackness has been reflected in both Rice’s and Brown's history and culture. In order to create real and long-lasting change in our community, we must realize that staying silent about structural racism and anti-Blackness is being complicit in the marginalization of Black Americans.

We want to reemphasize that non-Black students should read through the document below and continue to educate themselves and amplify Black voices. We are here to support you all in any way we can - please feel free to reach out with questions, concerns, or if you just want someone to listen!

(you can add something describing the Dialogues on Diversity too; I can add the poster on https://oma.rice.edu/diversity-facilitators if you’d like)
