What do the Fellows do?

The Brown College Society of Academic Fellows is an honorary service organization devoted to the advancement of the academic life of the College. The Brown Fellows establish and coordinate tutoring for members of the College in their various areas of competence.

The Fellows also carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Advertise availability and group tutorials via student government meetings, lunch announcements, listserv announcements, etc.

  • Advise underclassmen on time management and study skills

  • Work closely with Peer Academic Advisors to coordinate academic activities

  • Maintain contact and share resources with similar Societies at other colleges

  • Organize panels, lunches, and other academic enrichment activities
