Why require registration? We've implemented a registration system to respond to certain privacy and security concerns. By requiring a Rice e-mail address to register we can restrict access to personal information, like room names and phone numbers, to members of the Rice community. Registration also ensures that when a person posts a comment or event they are who they claim to be (we've had problems in the past with people posting announcements under another person's name).

What are the benefits of registration? Registration allows you to view room and telephone numbers of Brown members, post announcements and events, advertise used textbooks, and customize the news feeds, weather, and stocks displayed on the homepage. We anticipate offering other benefits to registered members in the future.

What if I don't have a Rice e-mail? Unfortunately, due to security concerns, we must require a Rice e-mail to register. However, if you would like to post a comment or event, e-mail the webmaster and we'll be happy to post it for you. We appologize for any inconvenience.
