Brown People

Brown wouldn't be the awesome college it is without the great people in it. Rice's residential college system places an emphasis on interaction between students and faculty as a means to improve instruction and develop independence and leadership in students. Thus, the college is run by a combination of faculty and students along with our office goddess, Nancy Henry, instead of by Housing and Dining. Our masters (the Cox) and resident associates (Joe and Jenny Rozelle and Kevin MacKenzie and Cory Rogge) are faculty members who live in the college, and college associates are faculty and community members who advise and interact with Brown students, often over lunch. The college system and Brown's overall greatness also foster a strong sense of college loyalty and many Brown alumni return every year to participate in the alumni beer-bike competition.
